Crochet Pattern: Flowered Pumpkin Hat

This pattern comes in 6 sizes!! Here are the age ranges and hat circumferences: 0-3 months 13”, 3-6 months 15”, 6-12 months 16”, Toddler 18”, Child 19”, Adult 22”. This hat is also super soft and stretchy so the sizes are more flexible.

When making this hat you basically make a rectangle and fold it in half, sew it or slip stitch it and then crochet up the top and stem of the hat. It is great fun and they work up really fast!

This hat has 3 appliqué patterns included to make this hat look the way it does. The vines, leaf (2 sizes) and flower (also 2 sizes) . Add just the vine and leaf for a more universal look!

For my hats I used three different kinds of yarn:

• Red Heart with Love in Mango. 2 skeins (315yrds, 170g each) to make all sizes.
• Red Heart Soft in Dark Leaf. I skein (256yrds,141g)
• Red Heart Super Saver in White. Small amount for flowers.

I also used my favorite hooks the Boye with the handles and these hooks have helped ease many hours of crochet time on my wrists. For some reason the I hook says I (5.25mm) not the standard I (5.50mm). I do not think this should affect the pattern at all. But I did include a Gauge pattern to help you decide. Using the Gauge pattern is very important for proper sizing of any crochet hat.
