Beautiful shells in one color blanket

This blanket is so much fun to make an you can make it using ANY yarn you like! Really! Any yarn. Of corse the larger yarns will make bigger heavier blankets, the lighter yarns lighter fluffier blankets. Keep repeating the rounds until you have the desired square size!

Here I have used a Super bulky (6) yarn:

Don’t let the name “of one color” stop you! make these shells any way you like! I love making this blanket using a solid color for the frame or V stitches and then using an ombre yarn for the shells or even another color for the shells. This way the shells are really clear and it gives the stitch more definition.

These pretty purple shells are done in Caron Cakes Bumbleberry and Red Heart super saver white.

I have gotten asked what yarn I used for the multi pink blanket. Here they are:

Red Heart yarn Shocking Pink, and Petal pink. And this next yarn I think they stopped making….. But you might be able to find it. It is called Vanna’s choice by lion brand in wild Berry.

So whatever style of yarn you choose this pattern is the perfect choice! You can find my written pattern on Etsy Or Ravelry.
