How to crochet Rainbow Blanket Free pattern

This amazingly vibrant blanket is sure to be a pleasure to crochet as well as a timeless heirloom to wrap up that special baby. Take the extra step and create this blanket with hypo allergenic cotton yarn for an all natural and good for the planet project! This blanket used Peaches and creme yarn and Sugar and creme yarn. Materials:
- I/9 (5.5mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Peaches and Crème 100% cotton yarn 1 skein of each color. Each skein: 70.9g, 120yrds
Yarn colors:
sage green: SIMILAR YARN AS USED
blueberry SIMILAR YARN AS USED
black currant:SIMILAR YARN AS USED
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
dc2tog = double crochet two stitches together
st = stitch

Special Notes:
Chain at the beginning of each row counts as the first double crochet.
At the end of each row snip yarn at least 3 inches in length and pull tail through last loop to fasten off. Start next yarn color.
If you wish to make this blanket wider the repeat is 12+3.
Blocking was not done but could be beneficial to this design.
Repeat ALL instructions between stars. **
Gauge Pattern:
Ch 17
Row 1. dc into 4th ch from hook and into each remaining ch. Turn. (15 dc)
Row 2-5. ch 3 (counts as 1st dc) dc into each remaining st. turn (15 dc)
15 dc and 5 rows measure 4×4 inches with yarn and hook stated for this pattern.
To Begin:
Starting with Red
Ch 99
Row 1: dc into 4th ch from hook (ch 3 counts as 1st dc), dc into next 3 ch, (dc2tog) 2 times, dc into next 3 ch, *(2 dc into next ch) 2 times, dc into next 3 ch, (dc2tog) 2 times, dc into next 3 ch* repeat to last st. 2 dc into last ch. Turn. You should have 8 hills or ripples. 96 Tops of stitches.

Row 2: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc) dc into first st. This is an increase so it should look like two dc into the same st. Next, dc 3, (dc2tog) 2 times, dc 3, *(2 dc into same st) 2 times, dc 3, (dc2tog) 2 times, dc 3* repeat to last st. 2 dc into last st. Turn. 96 tops of st.
Repeat Row 2 until desired length.
