The Virus Blanket by JMCrochetChannel

If you’re looking for the Virus Blanket or also known as the German Shells Blanket you’ve come to the right place.

Originally released August 27th 2015 this blanket has been many crocheters favorite makes year after year.

Unfortunately due to copywriter infringement  issues this pattern can no longer be provided for free. It is however still available as a  FREE video on the YouTube channel so you can watch it whenever you wish.
You can also purchase the updated written pattern on Ravelry or ETSY.

This beautiful vintage looking stitch is only 4 repeating rounds that work up quickly. If you change colors every 4 rounds you can create a gorgeous contrast.
I used a G 4.25mm crochet hook and a worsted weight yarn to make the pink and white blanket. This yarn has been discontinued since creating this blanket. But it was on the lighter side of worsted to me and a DK would probably be a better comparison.

Looking for a rectangle Virus blanket? We have that covered as a written pattern (also on Etsy and Ravelry) and as a YouTube tutorial so be sure to check those out. Here is the link to that  POST
